the best, by which I mean worst, thing about the lolhistory etc. communities is that by their very nature they are super self-congratulatory in the 'oh arnt I smrt?' way. At least with the popculture geek stuff there's a whiff of completely appropriate shame.

They're all so delightful. The whole idea of someone making something for you, and proferring it to you with enthusiastic earnestness, neverminding that it's probably not really that good a thing ... it warms the heart, or possibly just the cockles of the heart, which is the part of the heart just in front of the ballckles.

I've never bothered checking, but whenever I see it I always hope that you have that Robert Culp one keyworded as "mea Culp-a" or something.
